Class update again
This was a very long and complicated couple of classes. I think Im pretty clear on taking the comments on the 1st drafts of things and analysising them for my final draft. Im still not clear on the whole idea of observing and critcially understanding the work. I feel like I just can't write and be myself when communicating to the person I want to observe in the techincal/ critcial writing field.

You raise an interesting point here about the atmosphere/attitude you bring to the research site. What specifically gives you concern that you won't be able to be yourself? I certainly want you to feel comfortable going into your site visits, but I'd like to hear you say more about what's giving your concern. What I really hope everyone has learned through the last three classes is that we should be focusing on the person's writing process and writing practice, rather than simply shadowing the person to see what goes on in the person's normal workday. Also, I hope that the past three classes have helped us to see that we need to gather data/evidence from a person's written materials as an initial step before making any claims or arguments about the writer's practice.
